  • In a food processor mix all ingredients except for 1 teaspoon of the bacon bits till combined.
  • Place on a serving platter then top with remaining bits.
  • Serve with crackers of your choice.

  1. tasty and easy. I didn't have shallots so i used some chopped up pickled onions in it and about half the relish called for. yum!
     
  2. Rita thank you so much for sharing this recipe, my mom and sis enjoyed it. I dont care for liverwurst and I liked it too. Didnt say which pickle relish to use, dill or sweet, so I went ahead and used sweet but I think dill would be nice too. We dont eat hot/spicy foods so I only added about 4 drops of hot sauce and that gave it just a hint of zip for us. Do give it a good chance to chill thru and let the flavors mingle. Made and reviewed the Let's P-A-R-T-Y! December Cooking Event.
     
  3. I served this in a hollowed out loaf of fresh rye bread and had to cut up a second loaf to keep up with the demand! I had to sub green onion for the shallots and used leftover cooked bacon for the bits. I used dill pickle relish and I have to confess - doubled it. Thanks for another great recipe, Rita!
