“You know those nights when you get home, tired, hungry, when everyone else is out and you don't want to cook? When you want instant food? But not crap food? This ultra quickie came about after a busy day with a baby in tow. If you want to add to it, put some frozen potato wedges on in the oven which will take 14 minutes to cook. Or mix a raw egg through the spinach and beans as well... Whatever way you do it, it is better than doing a massive fryup or getting takeaways. Who said convenience food wasn't healthy?”

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 can low sodium baked beans in tomato sauce (size of the tin depends on how hungry you are)
  • 1 packet frozen spinach


  1. Empty the baked beans and frozen spinach into a microwave proof bowl.
  2. Stir.
  3. Microwave on high until hot in 30 second bursts stirring between each burst.
  4. Add seasonings to taste.
