Popovers

"Great with the Ina Garten Sunday Rib Roast that is to be my family's traditional Christmas dinner. These are light and lovely. Make these as an alternative to Yorkshire Pudding."

  1. Delish! I've been using a recipe that calls for 2 eggs & no butter. ...3 eggs & a little butter in this recipe make a very fine addition. Three things I did a little different for this recipe - 1) whip eggs, milk & melted butter 'til they're frothy - then add flour & salt; 2) only used 1 T butter (worked fine); and 3) skip the pre-heat the oven part. I turn on the oven to 450 for 30 min & put the popovers into the cold oven. 30 minutes time worked perfectly. ...Thanks for a great recipe :)

  2. I have tried many recipes for popovers and these are my favorite. They are a light, hollow, muffin-like bread that is incredible if you make a slit in it with your knife and drizzle honey inside!!!
