- 1 lb poppy seed
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 1 pinch salt
- powdered sugar
directions
- Grind poppy seeds to a paste.
- Add beaten eggs to the paste.
- Mix in sour cream, baking soda, cooled melted butter, vanilla extract, flour and salt.
- Blend thoroughly to make a dough.
- Drop by tablespoons onto greased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown (20-25 minutes).
- Dust with powdered sugar.

I enjoy baking in my spare time. My coworkers love me because I regularly bring them cookies. I recently started dabbling in baking pies too. I've been told I should bake for a living, but I'm sure it wouldn't be as fun if I HAD to do it all the time! :)
