"This recipe was originally from a weight-watchers recipe. I altered it quite a bit to make it more feasible with the items already in my pantry and refrigerator. Kids will love to get involved with this one! It is a hit with all ages, tastes great, is healthy for you and has a wide variety of variations for those picky eaters!   • 20 slices turkey pepperoni, This is best because it is less greasy, but you can use regular if you wish
  • 1 small sliced onion
  • 15 ounces pizza sauce
  • 1 (6 1/2 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 (4 ounce) can sliced black olives
  • 1 small green pepper, chopped
  • 12 lb lean Italian sausage, browned and well drained (optional)
  • 1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 12 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In bowl, combine sauce and all ingredients except cheese and biscuits.
  • Cut biscuits into quarters. Add to mixture. Stir gently until biscuits are covered with sauce.
  • Add half of the cheese. Mix until covered.
  • Spray 9x9 baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Spoon mixture into baking dish.
  • Bake 30 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake an additional 10 minutes or until biscuits are done.
  • Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
