Pork Lo Mein

"Had some left over pork and was planning on making pork chop suey, but we had rice for the last two nights so I decided to make pork lo mein, but none of the recipes on Zaar really fit the ingredients that I had so I came up with this which is a variation of a couple of recipes I found here. My daughter thought it was great. Hope you enjoy it."

  1. I never write reviews but I felt I had to post to this one. This was delicious and just like traditional Lo Mein. I used everything but the caynne pepper plus I added other vegetables I had in the fridge that needed to be used up such as cabbage and mushrooms. I also calculated it to be 3 Weight Watchers Smart points. This is definitely a keeper.

  2. I made this recipe for Pork Lo Mein. I followed the recipe exactly, except I traded the spaghetti out for some Chinese Hokkien Stir-fry Noodles, that I found @ Sam'sClub. They are a fresh cooked noodle, so I didn't need to pre-cook them. This saved me some time, which was helpful, because the prep for all the other ingredients took me quite a bit of time. The time it took to prep was totally worth it. I couldn't believe that I made it. I give this recipe a 5, because it was so good.

  3. Yummy lo mein. I used a pork chop and soba noodles but made it as directed otherwise. Loved the crunchy veggies in contrast to the noodles. Thanks Lori for a nice keeper. Made for Went to the Market Tag.

  4. Terrific recipe for using leftover pork! I left out the onions and water chestnuts, otherwise made as specified. The veggies were great and the cayenne gave it a nice little bite. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

  5. Easy and Tasty - Satisfied our craving for LoMein. Used sliced pork loin chops instead of pork roast and added a few extra veggies.

Tweaks

  1. This was delicious! I used leftover grilled pork tenderloin, added 2 leftover ears of corn kernels cut from cob, omitted what I didn’t have-carrots and water chestnuts. LOVED!
