Portable Apple & Cheese Pleasers

"Most unusual cookies, but very tasty. My SIL made this the first time about 25 years ago, the whole family loves it. Especially because of how little sugar is in it. I think that she got it from the Quaker Oats company back then."

  1. Mysterygirl, these "cookies", were a real surpize!! Sooo nummmmy!!I had run out of raisins, but I had some nice fresh dates; i chopped them to the size of raisins, they were great!! The combination of apple, sharp cheese and dates was wonderful, quite delicious!! DH says they won't last long, as a matter of fact, they have been out of the oven for about 20 minutes, barley cool and half are gone!! Pleasers they are and will please us again soon, thanks for sharing!!

  2. These are really good. Next time I will use the electric mixer, and cut the apple into smaller pieces. A great use for oatmeal! The kids loved it, too.

  3. My DH, who doesn't like sweets, gobbles these up! They're his new favorite cookie! Good job, Mysterygirl! I leave out the raisins, because he doesn't like them, but they are still delicious!

  4. Very, very good. Happily the recipe made a lot more than 24.

  5. I grew up eating these. Living in Panama, I don't have my usual recipe collection and was SO pleased to find the recipe here. My family loves these and I can't wait to have these Pleasers! And no guilt in feeding them to my kids since they have oatmeal, apples, raisins, and cheese. . . these are healthy!
