  • Wash and peel potatoes.
  • Cook bacon until completely crispy.
  • Drain bacon, and keep 1/4 cup bacon grease.
  • Cut potatoes into quarters.
  • Crush bacon into small pieces.
  • Combine all ingredients in a large stock pot.
  • Heat over medium heat until the soup comes to a boil stirring frequently. Lower heat to low and continue to simmer until the potatoes are soft stirring regularly.
