  • 3 -4 lbs pot roast
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 ounces catalina French dressing
  • 12 cup water
  • 8 small onions
  • 4 medium carrots, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 4 potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 14 cup flour
  • 12 cup water

directions

  • Season meat with salt and pepper.
  • Brown in 1/4 C dressing in dutch oven over low heat; add remaining dressing and water.
  • Cover and simmer for 2 hours.
  • Add onions, carrots, and potatoesw, cover and continue to simmer for 1 hr or until vegetabes are tender.
  • Remove meat and vegetables.
  • Gradually add flour to water.
  • Gradually add flour mixture to hot liquid in pan.
  • Cook, stirring constantly unmtil mixture boils and thickens.
  • Simmer about 5 min more stirring constantly.
  • Serve with meat and vegetables.
