  • Combine the ingredients for marinating. Marinate the prawns in this mixture for half an hour.
  • Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the prawns until just cooked through. Remove from pan, reserving remaining oil in the pan.
  • Sauté the onions and green chillies in the same oil used for frying prawns until the color of the vegetables changes.
  • Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté again till the fresh smell of the paste goes away.
  • Add all the powders and fry well.
  • Add tomato and sauté till tomatoes cooked.
  • Add the fried prawns and salt as desired. Cover and let it simmer for 3 minutes.
  • Sprinkle garam masala and add curry leaves. Mix and serve with rice or chappathi.
