- 1 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 egg
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 pinch nutmeg
directions
- Sift soda and spices with flour.
- Place honey in bowl.
- Add melted butter and egg; mix.
- Blend in flour to make soft dough.
- Drop by teaspoon onto greased and floured baking sheet and bake 10-12 minutes at 300°.

this was more like a soggy cookie than a bisquit. i added more flour to try to stiffen the dough but it wasnt enough. the flavor was ok but not great and it did not hold a shape or puff up at all just oozed over on the pan.
