  1. I made these for a speakeasy party I had as they seemed so fancy yet were so simple and took such little time. They were pretty good, and were great for hosting a party as they take such little preparation!

  2. A wonderful appetizer that always goes over well!! I first tried these nearly 20 years ago ~ I went crazy for them at the time, and was thrilled to find this recipe!! (I couldn't remember the baking temp or time.) Just a couple of tips: 1. I'd use leaner bacon because the fattier stuff is tough to roll around the prunes plus it doesn't bake as nicely. 2. Cut the regular strip of bacon in half, then fold the shorter strip in half LENGTHWISE before rolling it around a prune and spearing it with the toothpick. Holds the shape better, easier to roll. 3. They're definitely tastier when they've cooled down a bit (not sure why, just trust me, they're nicer when cooled off a bit). Thank you so much for posting this recipe!
