  • 14 cup green onion, with tops sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup American cheese, shredded
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 13 cup milk
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 3 stiffly beaten egg whites
  • 1 (8 ounce) package brown-and-serve sausage links

  • Cook onion in butter till tender but not brown.
  • Cook potatoes in boiling salted water till tender, about 10 minutes; drain and mash (about 2 cups mashed).
  • Beat in cooked onion and cheese.
  • Beat together egg yolks, milk and salt; blend into potato mixture.
  • Fold in beaten egg whites.
  • Turn into a 2-qt. casserole.
  • Arrange sausage links over potato mixture.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 375 till set, about 45 minutes.

<p>Hello! I am in Nebraska with three of my four children and a husband of 20 yrs.(the fourth child is in the Army stationed at Fort Bragg) I get to be a stay home mom and LOVE it.(which gives me time to look for new recipes...LOL) We like to camp, play sports,watching movies and lots more. I have a fairly large collection of recipe books, but then you can't ever have enough...right? I came across this site(recipezaar) and instantly fell in love with it.
