- Yields:
-
36 cookies
ingredients
- 1 cup shortening (melted)
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups pumpkin (canned) or 2 cups applesauce
- 2 eggs
- 4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon clove
- 1 (11 1/2 ounce) package chocolate chips
directions
- Cream first three ingredients.
- Sift together all but chocolate chips and add to shortening mix.
- Add chocolate chips and mix well.
- Drop by tablespoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 for 9-11 minute
- They may seem undone, but when you flip them over and they're browned on the bottoms, they should be done. And also when they set up they'll get firmer. You DON"T want to overdo these, or they'll be dry and you'll be digging out the chocolate chips to eat lol.
