Pumpkin or Applesauce Cookies

"This is a recipe that I used to make all the time when I lived with my parents and was pretty much everyones favorites. Since I've been married, I only make them every once in a while, but only because we try to eat healthier, otherwise these would ALWAYS be in the cookie jar lol. They disappear really fast, especially when family/friends get wind that I made them. The greatest compliment to a recipe I think. I hope YOU enjoy! =D"

directions

  • Cream first three ingredients.
  • Sift together all but chocolate chips and add to shortening mix.
  • Add chocolate chips and mix well.
  • Drop by tablespoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350 for 9-11 minute
  • They may seem undone, but when you flip them over and they're browned on the bottoms, they should be done. And also when they set up they'll get firmer. You DON"T want to overdo these, or they'll be dry and you'll be digging out the chocolate chips to eat lol.
