  1. Butter or grease a 13 x 9 x 2 baking dish. Tear up the bread slices and place pieces in the prepared baking dish. Brown and drain the sausage. Spoon sausage over bread, and sprinkle with the cheese. Beat together the eggs and milk. Mix in the dry mustard, salt and pepper. Pour over the mixture in baking dish. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  2. In the morning, remove casserole from the refrigerator and let sit on the counter while preheating the oven to 350. Remove cover and put in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes. Cheese will rise to the top during baking. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.
