  1. I was surprised to see that most people seem to toast their bread first, then add the cinnamon/sugar mixture. Charishma's way is the way my family has always made it. We butter the bread, sprinkle the mixture and place several pieces on a cookie sheet. Then under the broiler it goes. So warm, soft and toasty!

  2. these are the ingrediants we use. except we toast the bread and then add the butter and sugar/cinnamon combo. also saves on toaster burn and clean up.

  3. This is so yummy. I really like this method. But since I toasted the bread in the oven under broil, I had to flip the slices because under it was not toasted. But it was perfect. Great taste. Thanks Charishma :) Made for Cookbook tag game

  4. Thanks for posting this quick, easy, sweet treat. I made it to go with some hot tea and it was just perfect. I have made it before toasting first and then adding the sugar/cinnamon mixture but after reading the recipe and Texas Aggie Mom's review I wanted to try it under the broiler. IT MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE. It made the cinnamon and sugar get warm, darken, and caramelized. I waited till the cinnamon mixture didn't look like cinnamon if that makes sense. The toast still had a bit of a crunch under the broiler but more soft and warm. It was nice on a cold day. I prefer less but if you need crunch, pretoast it and THEN put it in the broiler with the toppings and broil it. Enjoy! ChefDLH
