Quick and Easy Vodka Sauce

"I love this served over penne pasta noodles and with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. I use my Recipe #421238 as the base.Make sure the sour cream is at room temperature or it will curdle when you add it to the sauce."

  • In large, heavy skillet, simmer the marinara sauce and vodka, over low heat, stirring often, for 20 minutes.
  • Stir in sour cream and continue to simmer, on low heat, until the sauce is heated through.
  • Remove from heat and add the parmesan, salt and pepper.

  1. It was super quick and easy! Unfortunately, did curdle the sour cream just a tad, but it's still pretty good (just sprinkled more cheese on it). Would definitely like to try and make again.
     
  2. I had this made and on the table in 30 minutes and my boys loved it! I served it over spaghetti noodles and mixed the Parmesan in at the end. I used my brother in law's special marinara sauce from his restaurant. Made for photo tag.
