- 1 (15 1/4 ounce) package white cake mix
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened baking cocoa
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1⁄3 cup oil
- 4 tablespoons tomato red food coloring

Cream cheese frosting
- 4 ounces butter
- 6 ounces cream cheese spread
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup powdered sugar
directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Prepare 13×9 pan.
- In a large bowl beat the cake mix, cocoa, eggs, oil, buttermilk and food coloring for about 2 minutes, scraping down the sides of the bowl occasionally.
- Fill pan and bake according to package directions for cake.
- Remove from the pans immediately and cool on wire racks.
- Cream butter and spread, blend in vanilla and whip in sugar.
- Spread tops with cream cheese frosting.
