- 1 (15 ounce) can no-sugar-added sauerkraut, undrained
- 1 - 1 1⁄2 cup shredded carrot
- 1⁄4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, sliced thin
- 1 - 1 1⁄2 tablespoon garlic, finely minced
- 1 1⁄2 - 2 tablespoons ginger, finely minced
- 3 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 3 tablespoons sriracha sauce
- cilantro (optional)
directions
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Mix well and adjust to taste. Allow to sit at room temperature for at least an hour, longer is better so that the carrots soften some.
