  • Peel potatoes, if desired.
  • Cut into 1/2" thick slices.
  • Melt butter and stir soup mix inches
  • Layer potatoes in casserole dish and cover each layer with onion butter mixture, ending with butter mix.
  • Bake covered for 1 hour.

  1. This is very easy and very tasty. I also used a combination of butter and olive oil to equal half the called for amount of melted butter. I never layer anything unless I absolutely have to, so this came out a perfectly tender and tasty and super quick side dish.
     
  2. What a simple and delicious way to make potatoes! I used 2T butter mixed with 1T olive oil which I found was plenty enough. I did not layer the potatoes and onion butter as indicated but rather mixed everything together to coat the potato slices and then baked it. Thank you for this recipe RJ. I shall make it often.
