  • Cut steak into thin strips, about 1 inch wide. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Heat large skillet to medium-high. Add olive oil. Add meat and onion, cooking until meat is browned. Remove meat and onion from skillet.
  • Melt remaining butter over low heat. Add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  • Dissolve bouillon cubes in 2 cups hot water; gradually add to skillet mixture and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly.
  • Alternately add sour crem and tomato paste, stirring constantly. Simmer gently, without boiling, for 1 minute.
  • Add meat and onion to sauce and simmer for 15 minutes.
