Quickie Sweet Rice

"Whoops. We're out of milk and the kids want breakfast. What's fast, good, at least as nutritious as Fruity Pebbles, and warm to boot? Breakfast rice! It's the cinnamon that really convinced my dubious children they were getting a treat."

  • Place rice and water in uncovered medium saucepan. Heat on high until it threatens to boil and the water turns milky.
  • Cover pan and reduce heat to simmer rice for 20 minutes.
  • Your rice is done! Uncover and stir to fluff.
  • Add sugar, raisins, and cinnamon to taste. Stir together for a warm and tasty treat.
