"I love ginger ale, the stronger flavored the better. I have combined two recipes I found here and added my own touch. Enjoy!"

  • Place the peeled & chopped ginger root in a good blender along with the sugar. Add the hot water and cover. Blend on high for two minutes.
  • Let the mixture rest for an hour.
  • Filter the mixture, pressing with the back of a spoon through a sieve.
  • Refrigerate liquid overnight in an air tight container.
  • The next day add the lemon extract and stir gently to blend.
  • Take two clean 1 liter bottles and divide the ginger liquid equally between them.
  • Divide the sparkling water between the two bottles, gently shake. and store in your refrigerator until you are ready to drink.
