  • cover raisins with water simmer
  • measure out 1 cup of raisin water
  • sift dry ingredients together
  • creeam shortening and sugar
  • add flavorings if you have them add eggs
  • add raisin liquid
  • add dry ingredients
  • add cooked raisins and nuts
  • spread 1/2 inch on cookie sheet bake 350 for 30 minutes
  • in guessing that she made a cream frosting for these but its not on a very sketchy recipe.

  1. I can't believe there are no reviews for this one! Made today, very easy and quite good. Really a cake more than a bar, like a raisin sheet cake. I frosted with a simple vanilla frosting, very thin. This is really good if you like cakey bars. Good way to use up raisins, too. Thanks for posting.
