  1. Used a medium-sized whole cucumber(grated with the skin) in addition to all the other ingredients, except the salt and pepper. I omitted the pepper because the red chilli powder had already spiced it up and honestly, I feel, pepper was not required. It could be optional, IMHO. My mom preferred it without the onion though as such I would enjoy it with the same. It was very refreshing! Garnishing it with corriader leaves(chopped finely) would be an added bonus to its overall appearance, IMHO. Thanks for sharing, Mini!

  2. A very nice raita mix. Don't be afraid to add the onion - it will still taste cool! I added some coriander too.

  3. The BEST!!!!! I used full-fat yogurt because that is what we had and I finely grated half of the cucumber to really infuse the flavor. So good!

  4. Ooooh, I love this recipe! Thank you for posting it. It is very easy to make and so delicious! I had only one large tomato and some red onion, which worked nicely. After the initial taste, I added a bit more of the spices, along with some ground coriander, and the remainder of the cucumber. It was so good that I could barely stop eating it! I can't wait to make it again and again!

  5. This was really good!Very refreshing, especially in the summer. I didn't have a cucumber, so my raita had tomatoes, a carrot, onion and cilantro. I finely chopped the onion, and soaked it in a bowl of chilled water mixed with lemon juice for about an hour, then drained it and added it to the raita. That got rid of the strong smell that goes with raw onions. Thanks for the great recipe!
