  1. Peel potatoes, wash, and slice into 1/4-inch thick slices.
  2. Boil potatoes into almost tender.
  3. Meanwhile in a bowl, mix together ranch dressing, sour cream, and the half-and-half.
  4. Drain potatoes and layer them into a baking dish.
  5. Pour ranch dressing mix over top.
  6. Sprinkle on bacon bits.
  7. Bake on 325°F for about 30 minutes.
