  • Combine sugar, oil, eggs, and apples in a bowl and mix well with wooden spoon.
  • In separate bowl, sift together dry ingredients (remaining ingredients).
  • Add dry ingredients to wet and mix well.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour in a greased 9x13 pan.
  • **NOTE: Cake will be a dark brown color when it is done. That is normal. It will be delicious.

  1. My husband was joining 'the guys' at a semi-remote location for fishing. I thought a moist cake like this would travel well in my pan w/ a fitted metal lid. Even better there is no frosting. Tho I didn't have a taste for myself, the report upon his return was that it was very much enjoyed by all and was good to the last bite. I did throw in about a cup of chopped pecans. I chose this recipe because it only called for 1/2 cup of oil.
     
  2. Why is this called "Raw" apple cake? It's very frustrating when I am looking for recipes for raw foods and I keep coming across these listed as raw when they are clearly cooked. It makes no sense.

  4. Turned out yummy. I used big chunks of apple and only 1 1/2 cups of the sugar and half whole wheat flour for part of the flour and it was very good! I put it in a 10 x 10 square pan and baked it for the same amount of time. I will make this again. Thanks for sharing.
     
  5. IT WAS A HIT! i absolutely loved every bit of it. My husband had more than 3/4 of the whole cake!!! it is just very wholesome.
