Red Beans & Rice - Without the Beans

“Yep, you read the title right. :) This is one of my hubby's favorite recipes, except he doesn't like the beans. So we basically have sausage and rice - although sometime I do heat up a can of dark red kidney beans and mix it with mine. Choose the spices you like, very flexible recipe.”

Directions

  1. Cook the Minute Rice packet as directed on box.
  2. While that cooks, put sausage in skillet with the spices of your choosing.
  3. Cook for about 4 minutes, until heated through and sausage is slightly browned.
  4. Serve sausage over rice.
  5. [May mix a can of red beans together with remaining rice and sausage if you'd like beans.].
