"Red" Macaroni Salad

"This is not your usual macaroni salad....there is no Miracle Whip in this. When i first saw it i was a little put off because of the looks of it, but was sooo surprised when i tasted it!!Glad i did! Tasty & a nice change.(I put 1 day for cook time as this is best made ahead of time,i am guessing on servings also as it depends on the appetites and the venue!)"

  1. I first had this at my parent's house and was pleasantly surprised! Add a couple of tins of shrimp or some fresh cooked shrimp, lobster or crab and it's fabulousness increases exponentially!

  2. I made this salad to take to a pool party today. It was a nice change from the usual mayo or Italian dressing macaroni salad. Everyone really enjoyed it. I will certainly make this one again. Thanks for posting.

  3. Terrific hit with salad beans!

  4. I cut this recipe in half since I was making for just me and I loved it. The dressing reminds me of the Western French Dressing that is one of my favorites. Thanks for the recipe. Next time I'll have to make the whole recipe.

About me....well...let's see, right now I am a married, stay-at-home Mom to two beautiful children, a 10 year old daughter and a 7 year old son....they are the "lights" of my life, which I think I pretty much spent waiting for them! I feel so very lucky (and truly blessed) to be their "Mommy". I don't know that I have a fave cookbook, (and I have rarely opened one of the many I have, since finding Zaar.) I just LOVE recipes and have been "acquiring" them since I was a teenager! Actually I think I bought my first cookbook in like grade two or three, a cookie recipe book from one of those scholastic book orders!
