  • Cream together crisco, butter and sugar.
  • Add eggs one at a time.
  • Add vanilla and red food coloring.
  • Sift together the flour, baking powder, cocoa and salt.
  • Add alternately with milk.
  • Beat until smooth.
  • Bake in tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  • For icing, blend together cream cheese and confectioners sugar.
  • Spread on cooled cake.
