  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 (20 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 12 cup minced parsley
  • 14 cup hot sauce (redhot)
  • 4 cups cooked penne pasta

directions

  • Heat 1 tsp oil in large saucepan.
  • Saute garlic 45 seconds.
  • Add remaining ingredients except pasta.
  • Heat to a boil.
  • Simmer, stirring 15 minutes.
  • Serve over pasta.

  2. I have had this in my cookbook for some time now and been wanting to try it, but my dh does not like anything hot and my little one, well is just to little to eat something hot. I finally had my chance to try it...I had leftover shell noodles in the frig...I said that will work. I just rewarmed my noodles under a little warm water and made your recipe otherwise exactly, except for adding a little more garlic. Let's just say it turned out perfect Yummmmy!! Thanks Dave Caster.... I have to say I had quite a bit of leftovers.
