Reese's Snack Mix

"We love the little 100 calorie packs of the Reese's Mix, but I wanted to buy it in bulk and couldn't find it in larger packages. So I went to work to put together my own mix - this is the result!"

  1. My kids liked this for a snack. I also threw baggies of this in their lunches. I thought this was a pretty costly snack for the little amount it made. I only got 8 snack size baggies of this and I even added more cereal than called for. I couldn't find pb cookie crisp cereal, so I used pb captain crunch instead. I used 2 cups of that and 3 cups of Reese's puffs. The other ingredients were the same in amount. I've never bought the little 100 calorie snacks that you are talking about so I don't know if this is similar or not, but it is a nice change of pace for snacks here. I'm not sure that I will be making it often, though.

  3. I had this out for a snack at Saturday's tailgate. It went over very well with everyone, and the leftovers have been nice to have around. Thanks for a fun recipe!

Hi, I'm a Wife and Mom of three girls ranging in age from 9 to 16. Two of my daughters have special needs, so life is never dull! We live in Michigan in a very rural area near the lake (lots of farmland and fishermen). My husband and I own a copywriting business and I am a food writer and blogger. I have a degree in culinary arts and love to entertain and cook. I'm constantly creating and searching for new and improved recipes to try out on our friends or on my blog. We spend a lot of time traveling and camping in the summer. Being self employed writers allows us to spend all sorts of time together and we really enjoy having the girls home all summer. We try to spend as much time as possible in the beautiful Michigan woods.
