Reese's White Cake

- 2 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
- 1 1⁄3 cups buttermilk or 1 1/3 cups sour milk
- 1⁄2 cup shortening, margarine or 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 egg whites
- 10 ounces reese's chips
directions
- In a bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and 1/8 tsp salt. Add buttermilk, shortening, and vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, scraping bowl occasionally.
- Add egg whites and beat for 2 minutes more, scraping bowl.
- Pour in 10oz bag Reese's chips - stir with spoon. Pour into 2 greased and floured 9x 1 1/2 inch round baking pans.
- Bake at 350F for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool on wire racks for 10 minutes. Loosen sides and remove from pans. Cool thoroughly on wire racks.

<br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
