Reuben Pie

"This is my first time posting a recipe! I didn't make this up, but it's origins are lost in the mists of time. My family loves this. Add a salad and (if you're not doing the low-carb thing) some good bread. When I had a convection oven I cooked it at 325°F."

  1. Delicious! My family loved this. I used ground turkey for the meat and used homemade carmelized onions instead of the french-fried to make it healthier. We served this with rye bread. Very good. Even my kids who would never eat sauerkraut loved it.

  2. This is a wonderful Reuben Pie recipe. We loved the meat crust. I served it with Thousand Island dressing and it really hit the spot. Thanks for a quick and easy way for a Reuben, Debbie1951. It was great!

I'm a high school math teacher. I live near the Los Angeles harbor with my husband of 30 years. I have two grown sons (well, THEY think they are grown) and the nicest two year old grandson, dogs, cats, etc. My mom had ten meals that she cycled through, only adding a new one occasionally. She read that Rose Kennedy did that. I understood that - she had eight kids and a full-time job and a parade of pets and a cranky husband. But I can't feed my family that way; it degenerates into frozen pizza and Hamburger Helper in the blink of an eye. I love finding new things here.
