  • Simmer rice, onion, and 1/3 cup milk over low heat, covered, until the rice is soft and the milk is absorbed.
  • Remove from heat, and add the rest of the milk and the egg.
  • Drop mixture by tablespoonfuls into hot greased frying pan.
  • Brown lightly on both sides.
  • Serve with syrup, honey, etc.
