Rich Belgian-Style Waffles

"These are really pretty simple to make and very good! My husband is always grateful when I make them. You can use reduced-fat sour cream successfully (if you wish). I have made a batch ahead of time and used them throughout the week as well."

  1. I made these this morning for fathers day a very simple recipe with wonderful results. I did add 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon, freshly grated nutmeg and a teaspoon of vanilla. I hope you don't mind the changes but I didn't want to add another recipe just because of the add ins. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe.

  3. I downloaded this great recipe in 2003 and have been using it ever since just as written. I thought it was time to say thank you. I can't see bothering with any other waffle recipe.

I'm a native Floridian (there's not many of us!) I currently hold the position of Domestic Goddess in the Stout household. I am blessed in that my husband is my soulmate. We share 3 remarkable children, a white cat and, most recently, a white puppy. In the future I plan to finish nursing school and maybe have a woodworking business on the side. Right now I enjoy restoring fatigued furniture, astronomy, and cooking, which brings me here. Oh! I started gardening this year, I love herbs since they are also useful in the kitchen- my favorite being basil.
