Ingredients Nutrition

  • 34 cup white rice (not Minute Rice)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 quart milk
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 cups heavy cream, whipped and sweetened to taste
  • 12 cup almonds, chopped
  • 1 whole almond

Directions

  1. Cook rice, salt, and milk in double boiler until rice is soft and mixture is thick - about 1-1/2 hours.
  2. Add sugar and almond extract. Chill.
  3. Add all almonds. Stir in whipped cream.
  4. Serve with a red fruit sauce (lingenberry, raspberry, etc.).
