- 1⁄2 lb butter (2 sticks)
- 2 cups sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon anise extract
- 6 cups flour
- 1 dash salt
- 6 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup sliced almonds
directions
- Blend butter until softened with mixer.
- Add in sugar and mix.
- Add in eggs and mix.
- Add in extract, salt, baking powder and flour and mix.
- Add in almonds and mix.
- Roll out dough into logs (6 logs).
- Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
- Cut logs into slices (Biscotti).
- Toast slices for 5 min on each side.
