  • Preheat oven to 400.
  • Combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse corn meal.
  • Stirring with a fork, add the milk mixture to make a soft dough.
  • Turn out on a board, kneed lightly for about a minute. Roll 1/4" thick. Spread with softened butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar.
  • Roll up, jelly roll style. Slice into indiviudal rolls. Place on a greased baking sheet (or into muffin tins).
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes.
