Rose's Palm Sunday Cookies

  • Mix the first 7 ingredients and chill for at least one hour.
  • Roll into ropes and form small circles. Bake @ 375? until lightly browned.
  • Make glaze: in a small sauce pot, add powdered sugar and lemon juice, and slowly warm it under low heat (do not let it bubble). Slowly add milk while stirring at same time. Only add enough milk to make a creamy, thick, glaze.
  • Remove glaze from stove, and paint the top surface of each cookie. Add sprinkles and/or colored sugar granules if inspired to do so.
