Rose's Pasta La'tuna

- 1 (5 ounce) can tuna, in water (drained)
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1⁄4 cup olive oil
- 1 yellow onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons dried basil
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 8 ounces pasta shells
- 1⁄2 cup reserved pasta water
directions
- Start the pasta first, when done reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water. Drain pasta and return to pot, using a little olive oil to keep it from getting sticky. Set pot aside until sauce is done.
- Heat olive oil in small sauce pot. Saute onion until it starts to turn clear.
- Add rest of ingredients except pasta. Simmer for 20 minutes so pasta water can thicken the sauce.
- Serve over pasta. Salt to taste. Sprinkle with lots of parmesan cheese, because it's way too healthy unless you add lots of cheese!
