This was good and easy to make. I like that it was all made in one pot. I followed the recipe as written other then I used crushed tomatoes instead of tomato sauce and beef broth instead of water. I used 2 cups of mozzarella but next time I would use less. I love cheese but I thought it was too much mozzarella. This was a nice quick dinner.

I made this for dinner tonight, and it was enjoyed by all. I only made a few changes based on what I had on hand. First I doubled the recipe, but only had one packet of soup mix, so I used low sodium beef broth in place of the water. I also used crushed and petite diced tomatoes in place of the tomato sauce, and added a bit of sugar, salt, and garlic powder. After simmering for 17 minutes the pasta was slightly over done and still a little soupy. Next time I'll start with 25% less liquid, and check for doneness around 15 minutes. Thanks for posting!

Very good and simple. My kids all enjoyed it, too, which is rare for them all to like something. I did not have the onion soup mix, so I chopped an onion and cooked it with the ground beef. Then, in place of the water, I used beef broth as another reviewer suggested--32 oz of broth (4 cups) because I used a whole box of whole wheat rotini (13 oz). I added a sprinkle of garlic powder, too. I am confident that we will be making this again.

Hi! I live in BC, Canada. I am a mommy to Jacob and a wife to Rich. I love that I can stay at home and take care of our house and child, what a blessing! I enjoy cooking (ahem, tagging recipes), photography (usually family, food and scenery - the people on this website have taught me so much!), playing the trumpet, walking and apparently doing laundry - as I do it so often, I must enjoy it.
