FILLING
- 2 cooking apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 firm ripe pears, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1⁄2 teaspoon apple pie spice
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ginger
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons imitation rum extract

STREUSEL TOPPING
- 6 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1⁄2 cup flour
- 1⁄2 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon apple pie spice
- 1⁄2 cup quick-cooking oats
directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F Grease 9-inch deep-dish pie plate or 11x7-inch baking dish.
- FOR THE FILLING: Toss apple and pear slices with cornstarch. Mix lemon juice, apple pie spice, ginger and rum extract; toss with fruit. Spoon into prepared dish.
- FOR THE STREUSEL TOPPING; Mix all ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle over fruit.
- Bake 40-45 minutes or until fruit is tender and topping is golden brown, Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.

<br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
