  • Stir together lime juice, sugar and rum in a measuring cup until sugar is dissolved.
  • Fill a tall glass with ice.
  • Pour mixture over ice and add a splash of soda water.
  • Garnish with lime slices.

  1. I enjoy rum, and all kinds of Collins drinks, but for me these flavors didn't go well together. The rum is very potent and after trying it as written I added a little lemon juice, blueberries, a dash of grapefruit bitters and more seltzer which made it more palatable, my DH thought it was ok before I doctored it. This was a good lesson for learning how different spirits mix with different base flavors. Made for ZWT 9 by one of Mike and the Appliance Killers.
