Rum Taffy Peaches

- 1⁄2 cup molasses
- 1⁄3 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons rum or 1 teaspoon rum extract
- 5 large peaches, peeled, pitted and halved
directions
- Combine molasses, sugar, water, lemon juice and rum in 10-inch skillet. Simmer 5 minutes. Add peach halves; allow mixture to come to a simmer again. Cover, cook 10 minutes or until just tender, serve warm or chilled with ice cream.
- If desired, 1 can (28 oz) peach halves may be substituted for fresh peaches. Substitute peach syrup for water and reduce sugar to 3 tablespoons.

<br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
