  • For the gravy---------------.
  • In a large skillet on medium high heat, brown the sausage.
  • Add enough milk to completely cover the sausage.
  • Reserve some of the milk.
  • With the reserved milk whisk in the flour and add to the skillet, stirring constantly bring to a boil.
  • The sauce will thicken. If the sauce has not thickened to your liking, simply add more of the flour milk mixture and remember to stir continuously.

  • I also add paprika (just a dash).
  • For the bisquick biscuits---------------.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Combine the milk and Bisquick in a large bowl.
  • Stir until just mixed.
  • On a cookie sheet with foil or cooking spray drop enough dough for a biscuit.
  • Continue until your dough is gone.
  • Put in oven and bake until very lightly browned.
  • Watch these carefully as they burn easily!
  • Serve with the gravy over the biscuits.

  1. This recipe was easy to make and very good for a Sunday morning breakfast.I have four picky kids and they all liked it!!!

  2. Just a hint to all of you; I found that Jimmy Dean makes a mild pork sausage that is 50% less fat than other brands. This is great news, because the sausage is delicious, but if you need lots of pan drippings to make sausage gravy, you should prob pick the full-fat pork sausage. In my recent experience, I got less than 1 tsp of pan drippings from 1lb of the Jimmy Dean 50% less fat. I'm not rating this recipe, because I didn't use it to make my gravy and biscuits, but since it calls for Jimmy Dean brand, I thought I'd share my recent experience. :)
