  1. Scald milk with sugar and salt.
  2. Pour slowly into beaten eggs, stirring rapidly.
  3. Add vanilla, strain into custard cups.
  4. Place cups in a shallow pan of hot water, sprinkle with nutmeg.
  5. Bake at 325* for 30 min or until custard is set.
  6. Cool and serve.
  7. This short baking time is only possible if the custard is hot and is placed in the oven immediately.
