  1. you should always leave the bones in canned salmon, they are full of much needed calcium. Just mash them with a fork, they are soft and you wont be able to detect them at all. I Love salmon patties so much too, thanks for posting this recipe.

  2. Was looking for a recipe to use up a can of salmon and came across this one with your name on it and knew it had to be good. I wasn't disappointed. These are delicious. Thanks for sharing this recipe, Inez.

  3. Very good tasting and texture! A real childhood comfort food for my Dh. He liked them so much I had to make another batch for him to take for lunch the next day. He said that they were even good cold. Fast & easy.

  4. Nothing beats your mothers cooking. I saw this recipe and it reminded me very much of how my mother made salmon patties years ago. This was served with tarter sauce on the side. Made in support of MizzNezz. You go girl!

  5. This sounds like my type of recipe. When I saw that you added white sauce it brought back a memory. My mom would cream a can of peas and we would pour that over the patty and our mashed potatoes, too. This sounds better then my version tonight.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
