  • Dump salmon into bowl. Pick out as many hard pieces of round bone as possible.(bone is edible i prefer them gone!) add egg, crackers. Mix well with hands. Heat up fry pan with oil. Fry patties about 10 minutes on each side. Meanwhile in small saucepan melt butter. Add flour to make a roux and slowly stir in milk and salt. Cook on low until thickened. Serve sauce over patties.

  1. Simple, easy, what more can you ask for? This has been my mom's recipe that she has used for both white sauce and salmon patties since I was very little. I never change a thing and now I'll be feeding them to my kids soon! =D
     
  2. Simple and delicious! I used seasoned bread crumbs in place of the saltine crackers and added chopped mushrooms. The white cream sauce is easy to make, adds flavor to the dish and makes it look fancy. This will be one of my go-to recipes from now on.
