I had very little luck with this recipe. It was very "soupy" after mixing in the meat, so I added another pound of ground chuck. It was still very soft after the refrigeration time. After frying the patties had a mushy texture I found unappealing. The flavor was okay, but I wish I had left out the garlic as the salsa I used had plenty of garlic already in it...it kind of overpowered the other flavors. I still have some of the uncooked meat mix in the freezer and will try grilling them over charcoal next time. I have a hunch this might give me better results. I hope so, as this really sounded like a great burger recipe.

Very tasty Burger - loved it! I cut the recipe in half - no problem. The meat in this recipe really stretchs without losing flavor. One thing, they are a soft patty so be careful turning them. I took the liberty of adding mushrooms to the pan and used white cheddar. Served with Cajun Style Oven Fries. Thanks Luai Aown for a Saturday night treat of a hamburger.
